Characters and Corelations
The Bard expands on minor characters just enough to allow the readers to form opinions supported by evidence. Along with this, he develops the characters in a way that could only be christened - perfectly realistic.
HOUSE OF MONTAGUE
Romeo
- Protagonist of the Play.
- role: lover boy (of Juliet)
- In the start, he pines away for a love that will never be his, Rosaline. Benvolio encourages him to go to the Masque where he meets Juliet, and once again instantaneously falls head over heels for her as well.
- He is a very passionate young man with misinterpreted good intentions -notoriously known for making hasty decisions.
- His final words were, "Thus with a kiss, I die."

- He is friend to both Romeo and Juliet.
- Mastermind behind the great escape plan of Romeo and Juliet
- He secretly marries the two. His ulterior motive however was to bring peace to the city of Verona by the union of Romeo and Juliet.
- He is well-versed with making and using potions, herbs, and vials.
